These terms apply when you preorder or buy from THE NEW WAVE through thenewwave.watch. Please read them before you place an order. By placing an order, you agree to them.

You choose your watch and any additional straps on this website. Orders are placed and paid for on our secure checkout, which is provided by Stripe.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

“We”, “us”, “our”

THE NEW WAVE, the seller described above.

“You”

The person placing an order.

“Watch”

THE NEW WAVE Project 2, with the included strap you choose.

“Product”

A watch, or an additional strap sold on its own.

“Order”

Your request to buy one or more products through our checkout, including a preorder.

“Preorder”

An order placed for a watch that will be dispatched at a later date.

“Cart”

The products you are considering. Adding a product to your cart does not place an order or hold it for you.

We currently sell:

• Project 2: a mechanical watch with an octagonal case, at $999 USD. You choose the case finish from: Black Carbon, White Carbon, Grey Carbon, all at the same price. The price includes the case’s own strap: Black Carbon with Nocturne (black), White Carbon with Opaline (white), Grey Carbon with Palladium (grey).
• Extra straps: $99 USD each, sold as separate items in three colours: Oxblood (red), Mandarin (orange), Azzurro (pale blue); or all three together for $229 USD.
• P2 Collectors Edition: three complete watches, one in each finish (Black Carbon, White Carbon, Grey Carbon), each on its own strap, for $2,697 USD together.

Project 2 is a limited edition of 500 pieces (1/500); orders are subject to availability.

We describe and photograph our products as accurately as we can. Images may differ slightly from the watch itself, for example because of screen settings, and some images are renders. Carbon fibre has a natural, variable pattern, so the pattern on your watch will be unique. The full specification is on our configure page.

• The price of THE NEW WAVE Project 2, in any case finish and including one strap, is $999 USD. Additional straps are $99 USD each.
• VAT and taxes are included in the displayed price where applicable. We do not add a separate tax charge on top of the price shown at checkout.
• Prices are shown in USD. The final amount and currency are always shown at checkout before you pay, and that is the amount you will be charged. Your bank or card issuer may apply its own conversion or foreign transaction fees.
• Shipping is included in the price: there is no separate shipping charge. See our Shipping information.
• If we make an obvious pricing error, we will contact you before dispatching and you may cancel for a full refund.

• You can order any number of watches and additional straps in one order. There is no maximum per order. Each watch you configure is a separate item in your order.
• Your order is placed when you complete checkout on Stripe and your payment is authorised. You will receive an order confirmation by email with an order reference.
• We may decline or cancel an order, for example if the edition has sold out, if we cannot deliver to your address, or if we suspect fraud. If we do, we will tell you and refund any payment in full.

• Project 2 is available to pre-order now.
• When you place a pre-order, you pay in full at our secure Stripe checkout.
• Estimated dispatch: January 2027. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed date; we will keep you informed by email and send tracking once your order has shipped.
• If dispatch will be significantly later than estimated, we will tell you and you may cancel for a full refund.

Payment is taken on our secure checkout, provided by Stripe. The payment methods available to you, such as major credit and debit cards, are shown at checkout. Your card details are entered on Stripe’s secure checkout page and handled by Stripe; this website never receives them and we do not store them.

• We ship worldwide, subject to destination availability. Shipping is included in the price. Available destinations and estimated delivery times are on our Shipping information page and are confirmed at checkout.
• Please make sure your delivery address is correct, and contact us straight away if it needs changing.
• Your order is your responsibility once it has been delivered to the address you gave us.

For deliveries outside the UK, your order may be subject to customs procedures in your country, which can affect delivery time. Consumer rights may also differ depending on where you live; where local law gives you additional rights, including the mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live, those rights apply.

You have 14 days to change your mind. You can cancel a pre-order or order at any time before it is delivered, and for 14 days after the day you receive it. This does not affect your other legal rights as a consumer.

Cancelling

Email sales@thenewwave.watch with your name and order reference, saying that you wish to cancel. If your order has not been dispatched, we will cancel it and refund you.

Returning a product

To return a product, please email us first and we will communicate the next steps. We pay the return postage. Please send it back within 14 days of telling us you are cancelling.

You may handle the product only as you would in a shop, to see what it is like and that it works. If it has been handled beyond that and has lost value as a result, we may reduce your refund by that amount, as the law allows.

We will process refunds in accordance with applicable consumer protection law and the payment method you used. For UK consumers who cancel under the regulations above, we will refund the price you paid and the cost of standard delivery within 14 days of receiving the goods back, or of receiving evidence that you have sent them back, whichever is earlier. If you cancel an order before it has been dispatched, we will refund you within 14 days of being told.

Refunds are made to the original payment method, in the currency you paid, unless you agree otherwise. We will not charge you a fee for the refund.

Nothing in these terms removes or limits your statutory rights, including your rights if a watch is faulty, damaged or not as described.

If your watch arrives damaged or develops a fault, please email sales@thenewwave.watch with your order reference and a description, including photos where possible. You have legal rights if goods are faulty or not as described; these are not affected by these terms or by any warranty we offer.

Every Project 2 watch comes with a three-year warranty, accompanied by a warranty card in your tnw watch case. If your watch needs servicing, email sales@thenewwave.watch first; we will cover the cost of shipping it back to our HQ in Shanghai.

Any warranty we offer is in addition to your statutory rights and does not replace, remove or limit them. If your watch is faulty, not as described or not of satisfactory quality, you have legal rights regardless of any warranty.

The THE NEW WAVE and Project 2 names, logos, designs, images and website content belong to us or our licensors. You may view and share pages of this website for personal use, but you may not copy, reproduce or use them commercially without our written permission.

Please use this website lawfully. Do not try to interfere with it, gain unauthorised access to it, or use it to place fraudulent orders. We may update or suspend parts of the website from time to time.

If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our failure, but not for loss that is not foreseeable. We supply products for private use only; if you buy for business purposes, we are not liable for loss of profit, business or opportunity.

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breach of your statutory consumer rights.

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as carrier disruption, severe weather or supply problems. If this happens, we will contact you, try to limit the effect and, if there is a significant delay, you may cancel for a refund of anything you have paid for undelivered watches.

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones shown on this website when you placed it.
